I know what you’re going to say.. 

Yes you can actually complete this trek without a company if you really want to save money and be budget! The only cost at that point would be your entrance fee + food. But heads up a solo local hiker did fall and die the day we were up there so it is not without risk! 

Here are a list of some of the most well known trekking companies but hostels do run their own tours as well! 
- OX expeditions 
- Wicho & Charlies
- Lava Trails (we used them - paid $94 a person and were very happy with the experience. Included entrance fee, all gear rental, food and transportation. The guides were awesome!) 
- V hiking - run by a local and his mom! I was contemplating booking with them too…
- Old Town Outfitters 
- GetYourGuide (not sure which outfit they use) 

We chose lava trails cause we didn’t have our own cozy camping gear and wanted to stay in a more insulated cabin overnight. Also I had read it was run by old Wicho & Charlies guides who then started their own company and I thought that was cool 👌 

This was the highlight of our trip and I highly recommend it to everyone.
