Last but certainly not least, my childhood Vineyard friend who celebrated his birthday the day before the vineyard_icon awards. Shelley Stewart Ill is a lifelong Vineyarder who has celebrated nearly every birthday here.

Shelley is also a Senior Partner at mckinseyco and leads the firm’s global marketing and communications practice as Global Leader of Reputation & Engagement and chairs the McKinsey Institute for Economic Mobility. A respected thought leader, Forbes contributor, and speaker at global stages including the World Economic Forum, Shelley champions sustainable, inclusive growth. He has also been named one of Bloomberg Businessweek’s Ones to Watch in investing, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and a SAVOY Magazine Most Influential Black Executive in Corporate America, Shelley has built a career defined by impact, innovation, and purpose.

On the Vineyard, you’ll find him courtside at Niantic Park watching his sons play on the same courts he grew up on or hosting leaders for the annual Black Economic Forum.
