Playing Sgt. Mia Chapman was a full-circle moment for me. I’ve always been drawn to roles in justice—not for the authority, but for the ability to be a powerhouse voice for those who need protection.
As an actor, I loved the challenge of layering this scene. Mia is walking a razor-thin line:
• The Professional: Showing total resilience and confidence in uniform.
• The Personal: Dealing with the internal remorse of knowing someone is innocent, but having her hands tied by her own past mistakes.
For me, the magic is in that friction—separating the personal from the professional while letting the audience see the cracks in the armor. It’s about more than just playing “police”; it’s about the weight of a conscience when you’ve lost the power to act.

This is a character that was Summer Bays very own police officer
