✨🎬 Sometimes the most powerful scenes are the ones where the truth is hidden in plain sight…

April, a waitress with a voice meant for the stage, dreams of being a singer—never just a wife. She’s young, naive, and believes she’s in control of her own story. But when Beth Ann walks into the diner, posing as a stranger, the irony is almost too much to bear. April confides in her about her affair, her dreams, and her fear of being “just a wife”—not realizing she’s talking to the very woman whose life was defined by that choice.

🎭 There’s something so heartbreaking 💔 and real about April’s innocence. She’s trying to be respectful, trying to navigate a world where she wants more than what’s expected. And yet, she’s completely unaware of the web she’s caught in. 🕸️ 

Playing April was a reminder of how easily a character can be blind to the truths right in front of them—and how sometimes, the most dangerous lies are the ones they tell themselves.

This was a wonder scene given to me by the fabulous @thedavidnewman from @mcsweeneynewmancasting for his informative Masterclass held at one of my favourite hot spots for acting classes @sydneyactingstudio
