Because we’re too highly educated but also not experienced enough somehow?? 🤔 It’s honestly a very confusing thing 😂 and I still don’t understand sometimes how I can be considered an expert and a noob all at one time 🥹 Like seriously?!? Hoooow?!!!?

Ughhhh… and of course not everyone with a PhD can stay in academia so we have to find something else to do 👩‍🔬 but we love science and discovery 🔬 so when industry rejects us it comes in hard 🥺 Like what else are we supposed to do?? 😣 what else do we even enjoy doing? 🧐

I still don’t know what I want most of the time 😂 All I know is that I want to do science and discovery in any way possible 🥹 So that’s what I’ll do 😊 regardless of the field 🤓

Also I want to make a quick note that I wasn’t actually paid below minimum wage for my PhD 😇 But I know a lot of people in other countries are so it still felt like a relevant caption to put 😉
