I get asked a lot about scholarships to do a PhD in The Netherlands 🤓 And I wanted to share that you don’t necessarily need one to get your PhD here 🤩 A lot of PhD positions are fully funded with a salary and everything 😊

This doesn’t mean you won’t always need your own money to do a PhD 😅 If you want to study something very specific with a PI that doesn’t have a lot of money or wants to put their own money towards that project 🥲 You can always ask to work with them under your own funding 🤓 In which case it would be helpful to have a scholarship (I’ll see if I can make a new post with where to find these) 😉
