Yesterday was nothing short of extraordinary. Our Raising Baby event reminded us of the power of showing up—for each other, for our youth, and for ourselves.

This day was created to bring expectant and parenting foster youth together in community—to educate, support, and provide them with essentials for both themselves and their children. And that’s exactly what happened. We shared space. We shared stories. We learned.

A personal highlight for me was listening to Dr. Kanchi, who led us through a powerful session on building resilience and rewriting our narratives. Her wisdom, warmth, and honesty left a lasting impact on all of us.

Our volunteers lovingly cared for the babies and kids, and the incredible dads received the support they deserve through Project Fatherhood.

Together, we explored essential topics: baby milestones, post-partum care, parenting, and mental health and well-being.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who showed up—many with their own children in tow. Watching them participate, connect, and contribute was one of the most beautiful highlights of the day.

And a very special thank you to Health Net, LLC, BabyBjörn, Maker, MATTEL, Hey, Milestone, Facetory, HONEST, Frida, HuHu, Happy Pillar, chudneylross, daisyodell, composed_living and Make Good for supporting this year’s Raising Baby. Your generosity helped make this day full of love, support, and tangible care for our young families. We are forever grateful.

I’m so proud of how this event has evolved. While we won’t share every detail to protect the privacy of our families, just know this: it was an epic day filled with laughter, tears, and so much heart. It was NEEDED and essential. We walked away with real tools to help us grow into the best parents we can be—and a deep reminder of the support our youth so deeply need and deserve.

Here’s to community, healing, and the sacred, courageous work of parenting. We hope to see you next year. 💕
