It’s called Ego-X, and it converts third-person videos into first-person perspective. It was developed by researchers from South Korea.

Here’s what makes it interesting.

Ego-X doesn’t just fake a POV camera.
It actually reconstructs the scene.

First, it turns the video into a 3D point cloud.
Then it estimates the head pose to render a realistic first-person view.
After that, it uses video diffusion models, combined with lightweight LoRA tuning and spatial geometric guided attention, to make everything look natural and artifact-free.
