Tonight I watched my youngest son, Koda, step onto a stage with his saxophone and my heart completely melted.

This is his first winter concert, and he’s truly found something he loves. Music has given my quiet and guarded boy a place to feel confident, brave, and seen. Watching him open up in a way I’ve never seen before brought tears to my eyes. 🥹

Moments like this remind me that when a child feels safe, supported, and loved, they have the space to discover their passions. And getting to witness that unfold is one of the greatest gifts of being his mom.
