Nicole Kirgan, a 2013 graduate of The College, returned to campus this semester as an adjunct professor to teach a new course she created called Non-Profit Communication. Originally intending to become a Spanish teacher, her passion for journalism was sparked by an introductory course. During her time at the College, she was active in student journalism and interned with various media outlets. After graduation, she worked as a reporter and later held communications roles in state government, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the senior director of communications at Taft Communications, Kirgan draws on her diverse experience to guide students and help them find their own paths in the field.
