Somewhere along the way, my kids went from needing reminders for everything… to taking
ownership of their own little worlds. And honestly, I’m so proud of them.
We started using a simple calendar system - @myskylight - last year, and I didn’t expect it to make
such a difference. But something clicked. They love checking off their chores and routines. They
love knowing what’s expected of them. And I love watching that confidence grow every time they
mark something as “done.”
It’s taken so much of the chaos out of our days. Our house feels calmer — like everyone finally
understands the rhythm we’re moving in together. And for the first time in a long time, I feel like I
can step back a little and actually watch them grow into themselves.
Teaching independence isn’t easy. But when you find something that truly helps your kids rise to the occasion… it’s the most rewarding thing in the world. 🌱✨
