This Marry Me Sausage and Mash is British comfort at its finest. Simple, cosy, and exactly what you want on a cold night.

Bisto Signature ‘Ready to Use’ Gravy is now available in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda, Waitrose & Morrisons. 

Here is the super simple rundown:
1. Sausages
From my local butcher. Brown them properly, then finish low and slow.

2. Mash
Maris Piper potatoes for that perfect fluffy texture. Whole milk, double cream, and unsalted butter (never enough). A potato ricer makes all the difference. A pinch of nutmeg would have been lovely.

3. Onions
Unsalted butter, a little brown sugar, and patience. Slow, slow, slower. Let them melt down. Then in goes thyme, a bay leaf, and a splash of red wine because I cannot help myself.

4. Gravy
Warm Bisto Signature gently in a pan. Rich, glossy, ready to pour. I chose their Beef Gravy for this one. You of course can get chicken too!

5. Build
Mash down first, sausages on top, onions over everything, then finish with a generous pool of gravy.

Simple. Homely. Zero faff. A hug on a plate ☺️ #bistoreadytousegravy
