The SurreyCares Community Foundation International Women’s Day High Tea was a meaningful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with intention. Events like this are not just celebrations. They are opportunities to support scholarships, charitable grants, and the organizations doing important work across Surrey. That is how real impact is created in our city.

It is a privilege to serve on the Fund Development Committee for SurreyCares and to be surrounded by people who care deeply about strengthening our community. I am especially grateful to learn from our committee chair Coral Henshaw, whose leadership and commitment to community continue to guide the work we do.

A big thank you to our wonderful emcee Keri Adams for bringing such warmth and energy to the afternoon. And a special shout-out to the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society for their ongoing and unconditional support of our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, and to the incredible sponsors and donors who supported the silent auction and the event. Your generosity is what allows SurreyCares to continue investing back into our community.
