Grief changes you in ways you never expect. I used to keep our Christmas decorations up from November through the end of January, but I just can’t anymore. I work so hard to keep the magic alive for my living son, Breckett. By the time Christmas is over, I’m emotionally spent.
Taking everything down feels like closing a chapter. I did it. I made it through as a mom. My living son is happy, and now we can step into a new year.
I hope all my angel moms found even a moment of peace this Christmas. I’m ready to close this chapter and begin again. Merry Christmas, mommas. We did it ❤️🎁🎅🏼🎄
