Our Story & Update!

When Alex and I found out we were expecting at 18, let’s just say our parents weren’t exactly throwing a party. We were young, terrified, and to top it off, I was a high school dropout. The road ahead looked anything but easy, but I knew I had something to prove—and I believed God had something bigger in store for us. I started refinishing furniture in our home and 5 years later Alex would quit his full-time job to join me. We then moved to Lucan and shortly after, purchased a commercial building and opened our very first store and design studio! This journey has been filled with challenges, and there have been many moments when I felt like throwing in the towel (too many to count!).

Fast forward to Covid—what a wild ride! Everything was uncertain, yet our little business was booming! We started doing weekly launches, and every week, our products would sell out in minutes. We could barely keep up! But… my body had other plans. It sent me a not-so-gentle reminder that I needed to slow down (which I ignored, naturally) until I literally passed out at a client’s house. That was my wake-up call.

We sold everything in Lucan, moved for a fresh start, and little did I know, things were about to get much worse before they got better. I spent the next two years bouncing between doctors, running every test imaginable, and shelling out a lot of money trying to figure out what was wrong. I was pleading with God for answers because I couldn’t keep living like that. I went from being a workaholic to losing everything I’d worked so hard for. There were glimpses of hope—days when I’d feel a burst of energy—only to find myself back in bed shortly after. But, thanks to God’s grace and some amazing people, I slowly started to feel better. Trust me, I will never take my health for granted again!
