You current title is just a label for your work. Not your worth, and certianly not your ceiling for what you are capable of. 

And definitely not what you’re allowed to want next.

But somewhere along the way, you started introducing yourself like a disclaimer. 

I’m just a teacher.

 I’m just an admin.

I’m just in HR.

And every time you said it, you made yourself a little smaller than the opportunity in front of you.

The women landing tech roles right now didn’t wake up one day magically “qualified.”

They stopped letting their current title be the final word on what they could do, and started learning how to translate what they already had.

That’s the whole game.

If you’re sitting on a pivot that feels impossible because you can’t see how your background fits, that’s not a problem with you skills alone. 

That’s a problem with knowing how to apply the skills you already have in new settings. And how to explain your value in a new way.
