tomorrow is July 1st! — if you’re starting residency.. BE EXCITED.. and stop stressing. your attendings have low expectations, not because they don’t have faith in you, but because they KNOW you’re going to be learning so much that it’s impossible to retain it all at once. they KNOW you have a good medical foundation, but need time to learn to apply all of that information clinically. they KNOW that you haven’t managed every single condition in your brief experience during medical school rotations. they will ask you questions. it’s okay to get them wrong! the point is for them to do their job and figure out what they can teach YOU!
