A grown up hamburger helper 

2 tbsp oil 
1 lb sweet Italian sausage 
1 lb ground beef 
1 lb pasta of choice, I used fancy, large, elbows 
Reserve 3-4 cups of the cooked pasta water 
9 garlic cloves, grated or minced 
1 small yellow onion, diced 
1 tbsp paprika 
2 tbsp Italian seasoning (divided)
1 tsp black pepper 
2 tbsp vegetable bouillon (divided)
Pasta sauce, I used Rao tomato & basil variety
2 tbsp brown sugar 
1 cup heavy cream 
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
