Hi, I’m Kourtney.

My career is Cybersecurity Industry Leader at one of the largest tech companies in the world, where I lead global cybersecurity initiatives that protect sensitive customer data across cloud infrastructure and drive security outcomes at scale.

#womenintech ✨For the past 11 years, my work focuses on AI security, data protection, access governance, and regulatory compliance, helping teams understand how systems should be designed, who should have access, and how to reduce risk while still enabling innovation. I spend a lot of time designing and implementing security controls, digging into risk, and solving complex security problems at scale.

Before AWS, I worked in information security roles supporting the U.S. Department of Defense (army enterprise service desk/help desk), advising on solutions that safeguard national security systems and critical infrastructure. I later brought that experience to Fannie Mae, where I focused on privileged access management in highly regulated environments.

Across almost every role, my responsibility has been the same: translate technical risk into clear decisions leaders can act on.

I didn’t enter cybersecurity through a single path. I built credibility by learning systems, understanding risk, and solving security problems at scale.
