Private ALO Event: No Gatekeeping @alo Atelier: Winter 2025 Line 😍

✨We didn’t plan this. We were literally just out in Miami and saw a private @alo event happening. We didn’t get into this Alo event because we “knew someone”. We got in because we asked and because we were intentional about how we showed up.

Here’s the part most people don’t realize:

1. Most “private” rooms aren’t as closed as they look. A lot of decisions get made at the door, not on the invite list.

2. Strategy matters.
I already had on an Alo branded, wellness-aligned fit. Show up in the energy of the spaces you want to be in.

3. Your approach > your access.
We stayed calm, kind, and direct…not entitled, not nervous, not apologizing for taking up space.

4. The first answer isn’t always the real answer.
They told us it was full.
We didn’t get defensive.
We simply asked, “Is there someone else we can check with?”

5. People respond to energy, not pressure.When the manager came out, she met two women who were confident, respectful, and clear about why we wanted to be there. That human moment shifted everything.

6. Boldness is a skill.
Not loud.
Not aggressive.
Just willing to ask a question most people wouldn’t. And then she said, “You’re good, join us”🩷

It was showing up prepared for the opportunity before the opportunity appeared. If there’s one takeaway from this night, it’s this: you don’t always need a plug, you need intention and a little courage. Advocate for yourself without losing your softness. And I’ll never gatekeep that. 🩷✨
