This pastelón de plátano maduros con pollo, deserves a seat at your holiday table, trust me. 

8 sweet plantains
1 cup sugar 
4 qts water 
4 tbsp of salted butter 
2 tbsp garlic powder 
1/3 cup of cold milk 
2 bags of shredded cheese 
*my shredded chicken recipe video is on my page! 
*bake at 350 for 25 minutes, covered. Then remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes uncovered
