- Many shrines and Zen temples dedicated to the guardian deities of the samurai were built here. The area is also called "the Kyoto of the east" 

- It's only one-hour train ride from Tokyo!

📍Engaku-ji Temple: one of the most important Zen Buddhist temple complexes in Japan 

📍Komachi Street: a long shopping street, lined up with great restaurants, cafes and shops

📍Tsurugaoka Hachimangu: the most important Shinto shrine in the city

📍Hase-dera Temple: home to a giant statue of the Kannon (goddess of mercy)

📍Kamakurakōkōmae Station: famous for Slam Dunk's opening scene location and its beautiful railway by the sea

But to be honest, if I had more time I would consider staying overnight because there are a lot more to see!
