I received this picture from a long-time fan this morning! Thank you cedricporter83 for sharing this.

I don't tend to look back much at where I started, but today, this message made me reflect on my bodybuilding journey. Where I started and the stories, struggles, and moments that brought me to this day.

The pic is from my second year competing in women's physique (which was fit body back in the day for a natural federation- INBF) 2014 or 2015 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️

Two things that were my driving force behind the grind was a sense of tradition/legacy of my father and me finding my own strength in letting a hobby that I love take me further. 

I had no idea how far I would go, and at that time, I thought becoming an IFBB Pro was out of reach. Needless to say, eventually, I cast my self-doubt aside and just kept going. 

The dieting was a struggle, but I did it. The time spent working  out, posing, and navigating a lifestyle that wasn't always supported wasn't easy, but I did it. Eventually, that led to fulfilling an accomplishment that was only a dared dream. 

The point is, if I stopped when the going got tough, I probably wouldn't have never discovered the life I have now in which I am not only at peace but have true fulfillment. I probably would have never discovered the soulmate I have in my husband and the bonus family I've gained. 

In short, if you take things as it is, as though you have no control.. if you allow doubt to dictate your footsteps.. if you think you can't do something just because it requires a little more effort on your part than usual, you will never know how great things can become for your life and happiness.
