• Netherlands (Amsterdam) 🇳🇱: Extremely walkable with excellent transit, a strong cycling culture, and a high level of safety for solo women, especially in central neighborhoods
• Portugal 🇵🇹: Relaxed, welcoming, and budget-friendly with low violent crime and locals who are used to solo travelers and tourists
• Spain 🇪🇸: Social, lively, and safe with common-sense awareness—pickpocketing is the main concern, not personal safety, especially in major cities

These places felt safe, navigable, social, and beginner-friendly—perfect if 2026 is your “book the flight anyway” year.
