What advice would you give yourself from a year ago?

I want you to sit down after you read this and close your eyes. I want you to imagine that you’re sitting down, having a face to face conversation with who you were.

What advice would you give yourself? This is what I would say…

1. Give yourself grace. You are going to mess up, but it’s better to fall forwards than derail completely.

2. Everyone who is with you now, don’t expect a lot of them to be there soon. You are going to evolve, set boundaries, want more, continue to heal, and because of that, you’re going to have to let people go. But you WILL find and create a new tribe.

3. Your kindness is both a strength and a weakness. Stop trying to save everyone. Ultimately they have to make their own decisions.

4. Lean on your partner. You conditioned yourself to think you can’t rely on others. That’s coming from a place of hurt, cut it out.

5. Stay hungry and don’t let your foot off the gas. You’re doing a great job at that. However remember to allow yourself to enjoy your life.

6. Align yourself with people who are where you want to be. Learn as much as you can, see the world from other perspectives, knowledge is power.

7. Stop trying to prove yourself to everyone. You know who you are and where you want to go. The opinions of a lot of people don’t need to be listened to, and you don’t need to claim it. The real ones and close ones will always approach you with the best intentions.

8. Dream big. You are almost there 🙏🏾
