> “Ugly first draft” is important - get comfortable with putting out ROUGH initial work, then refining

It will be very difficult & slow to make things perfect from the beginning (you can get close to there - but first you need practice) 

> Know what works for your body & optimize it - if you think better in the mornings, try to put the harder tasks first (generally though I find it’s good to get the harder things over with first)

> Align on your plan & approach EARLY with your manager / team - for example “this is what I plan to create for the final output - does that make sense?”, or “this is how I’m thinking about developing the [analysis / deliverable] - would you have any more advice?”
