Coffee by day, cocktails by night. A dual concept built around one simple idea: the power of pause.

The @ellipsis.ca  space itself tells a story. Housed in Arthur Erickson’s final architectural work, The Waterfall Building features striking triangular geometry, flooding natural light, and a tranquil waterfall courtyard. Originally an art gallery, now reimagined for hospitality.

Ming Yang, the accomplished café owner behind the concept, worked with SML Studio Architecture to honor Erickson’s modernist vision while adding warmth. Brushed steel meets burnt orange upholstery. Geometric forms soften with natural wood. Mirrors expand the 47-seat space into something that feels infinite.

This is where conversations deepen and time slows down.

Sometimes the most radical act is simply staying put.
