My take on the “community trend” as an ex-Soho House member and a community founder in NYC… 

Social clubs are too broad and not giving the newer generations what they want: Genuine connections. Which is causing their social status to diminish. 

Soho House is really just a glorified restaurant you pay for exclusive access to🤷🏻‍♀️

Meanwhile, the rise of niche community groups and events are taking over because people want to be surrounded with open-minded people like themselves. 

Niche communities made for building relationships > Conglomerate social clubs
