What no one tells you about getting a promotion at work ⬇️

I’ve been promoted twice in 3 years — from marketing associate to senior-level — and it didn’t happen because I “worked really hard” for a few months.

Promotions usually happen one of two ways:
→ You’ve already been operating at the next level for a long time
→ Or leadership trusts you to step into a bigger role because you’ve proven you’re ready

Either way, effort alone isn’t enough🤷🏻‍♀️

‼️Consistency, clarity, visibility, and where you’re actually adding value matter far more.
