The story behind my 400 sq ft NYC studio apartment — can you believe it’s been almost 2 years since that first tour I posted?!

Two years ago, I was coming out of a breakup, had to move last minute, and felt disconnected from my routine and my career. 

I found this apartment on StreetEasy, applied on the spot, and signed within the week — even though it was $200 out of my budget.

It was an investment, but one of the best decisions of my life.

Living alone in a small NYC studio apartment forced me to slow down and get really honest with myself. When I felt grounded at home, I showed up differently everywhere else — at work, in my routines, and in my confidence.

Inside 400 sq ft, I:
• focused on the parts of my marketing job that actually energized me
• advocated for myself and grew my career over the last two years
• deleted the apps and learned to enjoy being alone with myself
• prioritized solo time, solo dates, and solo travel — even in a relationship
• met my now boyfriend when I was fully in my element at a work event
• launched The Marketing Groupe from my living room

This tiny studio has seen every version of me — healing post-breakup, finding my footing in my marketing career, building something of my own, and growing alongside all of you here🥹🫶Thank you for tagging along.
