1️⃣ Picking the cheapest option without understanding what you’re getting. Not all Invisalign or clear aligner treatment is planned the same way. You’re not just paying for plastic trays, you’re paying for someone who knows how to move teeth safely and properly.

2️⃣ Thinking Invisalign is only about straight teeth. It’s not just about looking good in photos. It can also fix how your top and bottom teeth fit together, which protects your teeth long term.

3️⃣ Assuming you’re “too old” to start. Teeth can move at almost any age. Adults do Invisalign all the time. It’s actually very normal now.

4️⃣ Waiting until your teeth get worse. Teeth don’t magically fix themselves. If they’re already crowding or shifting, they have been shown to keep moving more as we age.

5️⃣ Thinking it’s going to be super hard to manage treatment. You take them out to eat, brush your teeth, and put them back in. That’s it. It’s more about routine than difficulty. I have huge success with kids aged 6-11 with Invisalign (they do as they are told), and I always think if they can do it, adults can too.

6️⃣ Comparing your teeth to perfect Instagram cases. Everyone’s teeth are different. Just because your case looks more complicated doesn’t mean it can’t be treated.

7️⃣ Not booking a consult because you’re still “thinking about it”. A consultation doesn’t mean you have to start. It just means you get information and see what’s possible. 

Instead of spiralling on Google or comparing your teeth to your friend’s experience, just see a specialist orthodontist. Your teeth are unique and your advice should be too. 💕
