My Dear Southern U…
Man, where do I start? 🥹 Being from California and coming to college at 17, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had never been to Louisiana before, and I didn’t have a single family member in the entire state. And yet, I came and found a family—built bonds I’ll carry with me forever. My future bridesmaids, my best friends… the people I’ve longed for all my life. When people ask me, “What made you come to Southern?” I never knew how to answer. I used to say, “Idk, I just ended up here.” But now I realize—it was destiny. It was my fate. I came, I conquered, I made my mark, and I am forever grateful. I could write an entire book about my college experience and how this university has given me the best years of my life. As this chapter closes, I’ll carry the memories close to my heart. I’m so glad I came to Southern U. The decision of a lifetime.
