When your little one is under the weather for whatever reason (and there are many!) your priority is to keep them hydrated as little ones can become dehydrated quickly.
They will quickly stop drinking if they are nauseated, vomiting, feel miserable due to a sore mouth, have a high temp, have pain, have a cough etc etc.
Therefore your priority is to make sure they are drinking little and often and are taking fluids that will keep them hydrated. The likes of Movicol and Laxido are macrogols which are iso-osmotic (they don’t shift water in or out of cells) meaning they pass through the bodily virtually unabsobed so the Movicol/Laxido will NOT hydrate your child.
So the bottom line is if your child is unwell you may need to stop their Movicol /Laxido until they are back drinking again. Generally you can go back to the dose they were on. And keep in mind that constipation may occur after being sick due to being a bit dehydrated- you may need to increase dosage for a while to treat this.

Always check in with your doctor if you are concerned about your child.
