If you strip away the good days, the vacations, the easy seasons… would your love still stand?

There’s a kind of love that doesn’t just stand in the sunshine with you. 
It climbs into the valley, sits with you in the dark, and doesn’t move until you can breathe again.

I’ve been in that valley lately.
The kind where old fears come knocking, the kind that wakes me up crying in the middle of the night. The kind that tests what you’re standing on.

And in the middle of it all, my husband has been my safe place. Not because life feels secure in every way, but because he is. He meets my fears with compassion, not judgment. He picks up the slack when I’m too tired to carry my part. He points me to Jesus and prays with me until my fear is met with peace. He makes room for me to be human without making me feel like a burden.

We’ve had to build this marriage on Sacred Safety. It’s Not perfect. Without the absence of hard seasons and fight.  But the daily choice to protect each other’s hearts like they’re holy ground!!!! 

If you have this kind of love, cherish it.
And if you’re praying for it don’t lose hope. The right person will not just love you when you’re strong. They’ll hold you in the moments you feel like you’re falling apart, and call you theirs anyway.

To my husband: I’d marry you in every lifetime. You are my safest place, in every season. I love you more than words.🤍
