Real talk?
Back then, I used to think I was bad at AI.
Like genuinely bad. I’d type something into ChatGPT, get back the most boring, generic, useless answer... and think, “Yeah, this AI thing is still not working as it was expected”
But after multiple attempts and reading docs and I realised It was me. More specifically, it was how I was asking.
The moment I got specific, everything flipped.
Who is this for. What tone. What length. What outcome.
Same AI and wildly different results.
And here’s what really stung. The people doing incredible things with AI? They’re not smarter. They’re not more technical. They just ask better.
That’s literally it.
Prompting isn’t some fancy skill for tech people. It’s just being clear about what you actually want. Something most of us were never taught to do.
So next time AI gives you a meh answer, don’t delete the app. Rewrite your ask.
