Meditations on Suburbia 🌳🏠

Something different and fun. 'Digital diffusion collage' lol. 

The mantra: Follow the road like it’s a thought you can’t drop. Notice the seams. (Yes, they’re allowed to show.) Count the roofs that look almost the same. Spot one house that feels like a main character. Hear the distant mower. Accept your fate.

These are digital collages built from quiet repetitions: rectangles, greens, little warm roof notes… and that long ribbon of street that keeps everything stitched together.

Simple lesson (based on these pieces): 

Pick one “anchor” and let everything orbit it

In all of these, the road is the anchor, a calm, simple shape that organizes the busy neighborhood around it. That’s why the images feel readable even with tons of detail and collage seams.

So go ahead and steal this approach in 3 steps:

Choose one dominant path (road/river/fence line/shadow) and make it your “spine.”

Build in patchwork chunks (big land shapes → house blocks → trees/details). Don’t overblend...the joins create rhythm and memory.

Unify with a tight palette + one accent. Here it’s mostly greens and neutrals, with roofs and little warm hits doing the storytelling.
