'The Gathering of Uncles' (part of the ever-growing 'The Art Collectors' series) 

Every living room has that one portrait that quietly takes over the entire wall, and this one brought reinforcements. It’s as if every uncle who ever wore oversized sunglasses in the late seventies decided to hold a summit in the background. Meanwhile, the couple in the foreground sits in silent, elegant defiance...stoic, composed, and perhaps wondering if they too will one day be immortalized in matching shades. The plants are thriving. The drinks are untouched. The wall art is plotting.

So am I.
