'The Geometry of Influence'

If yesterday’s post was about building cities in the clouds, today’s are about the blueprints that make them believable.

These aren’t filters or tricks. They’re the result of carefully trained diffusion models designed to speak in my drawing voice—line by line, shape by shape. Built on a foundation of sketchbooks, storyboards, and endless inspiration: manga, Moebius, Asterix, Tintin, architecture.

Art evolves. Tools evolve. What matters is what we do with them. There’s no such thing as “from scratch”—only how well you remix what came before. That’s what I’m teaching. And there’s only a day and a half left to join in.

When I was ten, I spent a summer drawing nothing but imaginary cities on yellow legal pads. I didn’t know the word “axonometric,” but I knew the buildings needed secret libraries. Turns out, I was training my eye. Now I train machines to do the same. Some things change. Some stay wonderfully the same.
