Everyone thinks this is a husband–wife conversation…

But it’s actually me and my data pipeline 😅

One day:
“Let’s move to microservices. Clean architecture. Modern stack.”

Next day:
“Production down?”
“Pipelines broken?”
“Why is nothing working?”

Then I say:
“I’m done with legacy systems.”
“I’ll refactor everything.”
“This will finally scale.”

And the system replies:
“I just need you to prioritize data quality.”
“You’re always debugging something.”

Same relationship.
Just different domain.

Being a data engineer is basically a long-term relationship with:
>Bugs
>Alerts
>Pipelines
>And false promises of ‘clean architecture’ 😂
