A haunted house… but it’s the family court system.

We’re living through something too many families understand: sometimes the people who harm children are given more rights than the children they hurt.

In our case, charges involving multiple DUI with minors + child endangerment led to a plea deal that took a sentence from upwards of 20 years…to just 180 days 🤯. And somehow, the system is still requiring access instead of prioritizing a child’s right to heal.

It’s exhausting. It’s infuriating. And it’s not rare.

It has been the hardest 3 years for our family. But through it all, she remains strong, brave, and hopeful and we will never stop fighting for her peace and protection. 

Children deserve protection. Not loopholes.

Finally speaking up because silence protects the wrong people. 🖤
