Family!!!!! This weekend was unbelievable. 🥺 It renewed our faith. 💗 It was a testament to the power of the people! We saw it in the hour-long lines, the patience, the love, and the incredible turnout. Y’all didn’t just support Cajou—you showed what’s possible when a community comes together.

We can’t always count on ‘leaders’ to show up for us, but this weekend proved we don’t need to. The real power is in us. The people. The ones who believe in each other, who show up, who make the impossible happen.

To everyone who texted, emailed, sent donations, and showed up in ways big and small—you came in, worked the register, you washed dishes, you reposted and spread the word to thousands in your community, see the previous video and you will see 
whyyallworking came in and bought $250 of ice cream for people in line — you have no idea how much this all means to us. Every message, every dollar, every act of kindness reminds us why we do this. You’re not just customers; you’re family.

This year hasn’t been easy. Sales have been low. Pedestrian traffic on Howard has dropped. Businesses around us have closed. We’ve faced BGE explosions that impacted our freezer, power outages, water outages, and weeks of rain back-to-back. Through it all, we’ve tried to keep standing. But the truth is—we need a new location ASAP and we need your help to keep going. 

We hope you keep showing up for us and other local businesses like you did this weekend.
