⚠️ A normal meeting invite just turned into a full system hack.

A developer joined what appeared to be a legitimate Microsoft Teams call…
But it was actually a carefully designed attack.

Here’s what happened:

→ Hackers impersonated a real company
→ Created a fake Slack workspace with real-looking people
→ Scheduled a meeting to build trust
→ Then asked for a simple “update install.”

That install?
A RAT (remote access trojan) that gave them full control.

From there, things escalated fast…

A compromised account ended up publishing malicious code (Axios versions) that could steal credentials and access systems.

This is what makes modern attacks dangerous:
They don’t look like hacks anymore…
They look like normal work.

And with AI, these scams are becoming even more realistic.

⚠️ The biggest risk isn’t bad code anymore…
It’s trusting the wrong environment.

---

🎯 Why this matters

If you:

* Join random calls
* Install “updates” during meetings.
* Don’t double-check links.

You’re a target.

---

Would you have installed that update or noticed something was off? 🤔
Comment “SAFE” or “HACKED”
