Awards season celebrating and honoring #BlackExcellence is always a family reunion. (Vowing to capture more content NOW as these moments are #BlackHistory in the making!)

No matter where I am in the world, for the last however many years, since my dearests @iamnicolefriday and @jefffriday started #abffhonors, I make my way to celebrate what they have built and the #blackhistory + #blacklove being made in #Hollywood.

Nik, Jeff, Ms. Depasse, @msrikki and the entire @americanblackfilmfestival @nicecrowdevents team, Monday was epic! 

Congrats to you, the incredibly deserving honorees @keke @marlagibbs4real #aunjanueellis @aaron_pierre1 @thegiancarloesposito for the perfect kickoff to #awardsseason! 

Production was exquisite. (We need this televised!) The room perfectly curated. And menu delectable Chef Nicole. Need that Callaloo recipe! (Right @vsizzlebx @therealchrisspencer ?!)
