I lost myself trying to love you and heal the wounds you carried from your past. Now I’m pulling the knife out of my heart & back after you decided to do what you did. 

After all this time I really can’t believe I’m here again, dealing with the ramifications of choosing a man who hadn’t dealt with his demons. Trying to love and fill a cup that was cracked. Losing myself in the process. 

This is grieving. This is healing. This is choosing to never be collateral damage in another guy’s war with himself.
