The SECERET to how I came to love presenting as someone who was v shy and introverted 👀

I used to hate presenting and would avoid it at all costs, maybe you can relate?

But a few years ago I moved roles and found myself giving  presentation after presentation 🥲 and do you know what? 

With the frequency I had to get up and present, each time became a little less nerve wracking and I began to actually like presentions

So here are three key lessons I learnt from becoming comfortable presenting 

🎀 Have key phrases prepared

You don’t need to learn your whole presentation by heart (unless you prefer to/ you’re giving a v high stakes talk) but I find it super helpful to have a few key phrases memorised for example around the key data points or the phrase I want to use when moving to a new topic or slide

🎀 Focus on storytelling rather than sharing slides

What is the main takeaway you want your audience to get from your slides. Were there any obstacles you faced in delivering your work? Tell a story rather than just reading each slide 

🎀 Practice, practice and practice some more

If you’re not someone who is super comfortable with presenting to large groups atm, practice is the thing that will help you the most

Dare I say, even proactively look for opportunities to present in your team meeting or with your co-workers

Build up your presentation muscle
