This house. 

In this newest episode of my series Sounds of LA, we’re in my neighborhood—of all places—here in South Pasadena, exploring how the history of this spectacular 1904 Greene & Greene, National Register–listed historic home began as an end-of-life retreat for a grieving First Lady and later became the home of a recording studio that produced Grammy-winning albums.

….and before you ask, YES, Lucretia did die here. I’ve also been going down quite the rabbit hole on her life as well as the election and assassination of President James Garfield sooooo prepare for a deep dive on that soon.
