A little bit about me…

My corporate journey followed that of a typical overachiever

I worked really hard, got my first few promotions quickly

Then I hit that tricky midpoint

It started with a couple of really difficult manager situations 🙃

I realised people aren’t always going to support you, even if they weee your manager and everyone else was giving you great feedback

For a while, I genuinely thought work was just something you had to ‘deal with’

Grin and bear it until the weekend.

But I knew there had to be a better way

40 years of counting down to Friday wouldn’t cut it

And that’s when it clicked

if I focused on having the best idea, not just worked the hardest, the one that created the most impact 

it cut through office politics.

Understanding strategy is how you get ahead without hating your job and without burnout.
