Would you sip spirits in an old mortuary? 👻🥃

Thanks to the hollywooddistillery, you can. 

I was invited by js2pr to an exclusive tasting, tour, and murder mystery show to experience all the awesome Hollywood’s first distillery has to offer, and it did not disappoint. I was a murder mystery show virgin, and now I totally get the hype. daintydamesevents put on such a fun show that really got everyone involved and somehow managed to not make it overwhelming or embarrassing to participate. 

Now the history - the distillery is housed in a former mortuary that in the 1920s was also a headstone and monument manufacturer. It is located across the street from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery - the only cemetery in the state to be licensed to allow alcohol (lucky, huh?) And yes, according to staff, they do believe the building may be haunted. Spirits haunting spirits across from bodies. It really doesn’t get cooler or more macabre than that. 

The (drinkable) spirits are all incredible, with their Oasis Date Vodka being a real standout. Not that surprising, as it took Double Gold at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
