## Caption

Although redfish are the fish that made me first fall in love with fishing years ago….catching them on FLY is still VERY NEW to me.  My double haul still needs a ton of work. 

My first full day in Charleston I planned to fly fish for reds with @citadelmarineservices.  We braved the 25+ mph winds….and I practiced and practiced my double haul into the wind.  Capt. Rob promised me it would make me a better fly angler.  And it did. 

On that first day, Capt. Rob poled us into the skinniest water I’ve ever been to before.  He was extremely knowledgeable about dealing with the high wind and knowing spots that would be more protected. 

It was the worst conditions, but we still found reds & even saw a bald eagle on the boat ride back to the launch! PS- the @yeti chair he uses for when he has a single angler is 10/10! This is not an ad hah, but that chair made a very tough boat ride feel so smooth! So much better than sitting on a cooler lol! 

I’ll show y’all what day 2 fishing was like next! 

Thanks SO much @citadelmarineservices for your patience, positive attitude, willingnesss to teach & most of all…..pushing me around for hours in that crazy WIND!
