Recently I had the incredible opportunity to visit La Casita, a vibrant community-based organization in Arima, operated by a powerhouse of a woman, Andreina Briceño Venturo-Brown. La Casita's work focuses on support for refugees & migrants. Their work is truly inspiring—providing essential support services, case management for survivors of gender-based violence, and fostering a sense of community through cultural and social activities. 

I am deeply moved by the resilience and strength of this community and grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the important work they are doing. Together, we can uplift and empower those who need it most. 💙
